New Federal Minimum Wage Law Takes Effect This Month

08/20/08

On July 24th, 2007, the first phase of the Fair Minimum Wage Act of 2007 will go into effect, raising the federal minimum wage from $5.15 to $5.85 an hour. The minimum wage will further increase to $6.55 an hour in July 2008 and $7.25 in July 2009.

As a result of this increase, all employers must update their mandatory labor law postings. Depending on state-level changes, employers may be required to update their state labor law postings as well.

Enroll in Poster Guardâ„¢ Compliance Protection today to get into compliance with this, and all future posting updates.
