Minimum Wage
11/25/08 — The Arizona Minimum wage poster was updated to reflect The new minimum wage rate. The Industrial Commission of Arizona has increased the minimum wage rate to $7.25 per hour effective as of January 1, 2009.
E-Verify
01/08/08 — Effective January 1, 2008, all Arizona employers are required to verify the employment eligibility of new employees through the E-Verify program. The E-Verify rules require employers who use the program to post the E-Verify Participation poster and the Right to Work poster. This is a mandatory change.

California
Unemployment Insurance — English and Spanish
01/13/09 — The California Unemployment Insurance poster was updated to reflect that employees may file for unemployment insurance by internet, telephone, and by mailing or faxing an unemployment insurance application to the California Unemployment Development Department. The poster was also updated with new web addresses to use when applying for Unemployment Insurance, Disability Insurance and Paid Family leave benefits.
Minimum Wage — English and Spanish
01/01/07 - The poster was updated to reflect an increase in the state minimum wage. The state minimum wage was increased to $7.50 per hour effective January 1, 2007 and to $8.00 per hour effective January 1, 2008.
Fair Employment — Spanish
09/15/06 - A new law was recently passed which extends the one-year time limit for filing a complaint of discrimination with the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing for minors to one year from the date of the minor's eighteenth birthday. The poster was updated with this information and also updated to include information regarding mandatory sexual harassment training.

Colorado
Minimum Wage
12/01/08 — The Colorado Minimum Wage poster was updated to reflect an increase in the state minimum wage. The state minimum wage will increase to $7.28 an hour effective January 1, 2009. The minimum wage for tipped employees will also increase to $4.26 an hour effective January 1, 2009.
Fair Employment
06/17/08 — The Colorado Fair Employment poster was updated to reflect new protected categories under Colorado's Anti-Discrimination Laws. The poster now states that discrimination is prohibited in employment based on "retaliation for engaging in protected activity." In housing, discrimination is prohibited based on "sexual orientation" and "retaliation for engaging in protected activity." In public accommodation, discrimination is prohibited based on "sexual orientation" and "retaliation for engaging in protected activity." The poster was also reformatted and the name of the Executive Director of the Department of Regulatory Agencies and the name of the Director of Civil Rights was added to the poster.
Colorado Minimum Wage — Spanish
01/18/08 — The Colorado Minimum Wage poster was updated to reflect an increase in the state minimum wage. The state minimum wage was increased to $7.02 an hour effective January 1, 2008. The minimum wage for tipped employees also increased to $4.00 an hour effective January 1, 2008.

01/18/08 — The Colorado Spanish Workers' Compensation poster was updated with additional information on who pays for workers' compensation insurance.

Connecticut
Child Labor — Mercantile
03/12/09 — The Connecticut Child Labor (Mercantile) poster was updated to reflect the new state minimum wage rates. The poster now reflects the current minimum wage rate of $8.00 an hour and the new minimum wage rate of $8.25 an hour effective January 1, 2010. The poster was also updated to include Connecticut's Child Labor regulations.

District of Columbia
Minimum Wage
07/10/08 — The District of Columbia Minimum Wage poster was updated to reflect an increase to the state minimum wage. The state minimum wage will increase to $7.55 an hour effective July 24, 2008 and to $8.25 an hour effective July 24, 2009. The poster was also updated with information about the District of Columbia's new Accrued Sick and Safe Leave Act of 2008, which requires employers to provide paid leave to employees for illnesses and absences associated with domestic violence or sexual abuse. The poster was also updated with information about the Living Wage Act of 2006 and the Enhanced Professional Security Amendment Act of 2008. The state also added the address for the Department of Employment Services to the poster.

03/06/2007 - The District of Columbia Fair Employment poster was updated to reflect two new protected categories that the District approved and the Mayor signed into law last year. These categories are "gender identity or expression" and "genetic information." The District also consolidated their fair employment, parental leave, and family and medical leave posters into one poster.

Florida
Minimum Wage — (English and Spanish)
10/22/08 — The Florida Minimum Wage poster was updated to reflect an increase in the state minimum wage. The state minimum wage will increase to $7.21 an hour effective January 1, 2009. On July 24, 2009, the state minimum wage will be replaced with the federal minimum wage rate of $7.25. The minimum wage rate for tipped employees will increase from $3.77 to $4.19 effective January 1, 2009.

10/27/07 - The Florida Minimum Wage poster was updated to reflect an increase in the state minimum wage. The state minimum wage was increased to $6.79 an hour effective January 1, 2008. The minimum wage for tipped employees also increased to $3.77 an hour.

Hawaii
No Smoking
12/14/2006 - Hawaii passed a law that prohibits smoking in essentially all enclosed workplaces. Employers are required to post "no smoking" signs. The signs must read "smoking prohibited by law" or show the international "no smoking" symbol.

05/19/06 - Informs employees of their rights to be notified of possible layoffs or terminations due to certain business transactions taken by their employer. This is a new poster.

05/19/06 - Informational poster notifying employees of their rights under USERRA. This is a new poster.

05/19/06 - The state consolidated their minimum wage and wage payment posters into one poster. The new poster was updated to include information on Hawaii's family leave law.

02/16/09 — The Illinois No Smoking poster has been updated to reflect that smoking in prohibited within 15 feet of any entrance to a place of employment. The poster was also updated to reflect the new Governor, Pat Quinn.

02/16/09 — The Illinois Sexual Harassment poster was updated to clearly reflect where an employee can obtain assistance if he/she is being subjected to sexual harassment or observing sexually harassing behavior. A change in the TTY number has also been made for the Chicago office.

Indiana
Minimum Wage
08/06/08 — The Indiana Minimum Wage poster was updated to reflect that tipped employees must receive at least $9.83 an hour for all hours worked over 40 in a work week. The state also removed the 2007 minimum wage of $5.85 from the poster. The poster now only reflects the current minimum wage of $6.55 an hour and $7.25 an hour effective July 24, 2009. The state also added Indiana Code Title 22, Chapter 2 to the poster.

02/03/09 — The Iowa OSHA poster was reformatted to make it easier for employees to understand their rights to a safe and healthy workplace. The poster was also updated with a new phone number and web address for the Iowa Division of Labor Services and a new address for the Iowa U.S. Department of Labor.
No Smoking
06/12/08 — Iowa recently passed a law that prohibits smoking in essentially all enclosed workplaces. Employers are required to post "no smoking" signs. The signs must contain the telephone number for reporting complaints and the internet site for the Iowa Department of Public Health. No smoking poster must be posted at every entrance to a place of employment. Employers can either post it on door or window that is visible to the outside.

OSHA
10/11/07 - The Kentucky OSHA poster was updated to reflect that employers must now report incidents resulting in an amputation or the in-patient hospitalization of one or two employees within 72 hours.
Unemployment Insurance
09/13/07 - The Kentucky Unemployment Insurance poster was updated with additional information. The poster now includes a statement that an individual must be unemployed through no fault of their own to qualify for benefits. A new section was added to the poster that advises employees who are eligible for workers' compensation benefits that they may be able to use their wages before an injury occurred to qualify for unemployment benefits. In addition, the revised poster now advises workers who are working less than their full-time hours that they may be eligible for partial benefits because of lack of work due to work-related medical restrictions.

02/26/09 — Public employers must inform employees of their rights under the Whistleblower statute. The Whistleblower statute protects public employees who report information which they reasonably believe is a violation of any provision of law, or any other acts of impropriety related to the scope or duties of public employment.

02/12/09 — The Louisiana Earned Income Credit poster was updated with 2009 earned income credit amounts.
Age Discrimination
01/13/09 — The Louisiana Age Discrimination poster was updated to reflect that Louisiana's age discrimination law protects individuals who are at least forty years of age.

Regulation of Employment
01/12/09 — The Maine Regulation of Employment poster was updated with additional information regarding recent amendments to the state's family and medical leave laws. An employee in Maine is now able to request family and medical leave for a serious illness or death of a sibling who shares joint living and financial arrangements with the worker.

05/05/08 — The Maine Minimum Wage poster was updated to reflect an increase in the state minimum wage. The state minimum wage was increased to $7.25 an hour effective October 1, 2008 and to $7.50 an hour effective October 1, 2009. The poster was also updated to exempt certain employees from minimum wage and overtime requirements.

09/27/07 - The Maine Minimum Wage poster was updated to clarify the definition of a service employee. A service employee is now defined as an employee engaged in an occupation, such as waiter, waitress, and bartender, who regularly receives more than $30 a month in tips. Under the new definition, tips belong to the employee providing the direct service to the customer and employees cannot be required to pool or share their tips with other employees. The poster was also updated with respect to certain domestic workers and minimum wage and overtime pay.

Minimum Wage
06/30/09 — The Maryland Minimum Wage poster was updated to reflect an increase in the state minimum wage. The state minimum wage was increased to $7.25 an hour effective July 24, 2009. The minimum wage employers must pay tipped employees also increased to $3.63 an hour effective July 24, 2009.

1/08/09 — The Maryland Equal Pay for Equal Work poster was updated to reflect new recordkeeping requirements for employers. Employers must now keep records on employee wages, job classifications, racial classifications and gender.

Unemployment Insurance
04/15/09 — The Massachusetts Unemployment Insurance poster was updated with additional information regarding when an individual can file an unemployment compensation claim. The Massachusetts Department of Workforce Development added the assigned days when an individual can call Teleclaims depending on the last digit of the individual 's social security number.
Minimum Wage
07/10/08 — The Massachusetts Minimum Wage poster was updated to reflect the new law making triple damages mandatory if an employer is found to have violated the state's wage and hour laws. The poster was also updated to include information about the state's Small Necessities Leave Act and when travel time is considered working time. The poster was also updated to only indicate the minimum wage effective January 1, 2008.

Michigan
Minimum Wage
02/05/09 — The Michigan Minimum Wage poster was updated to reflect the minimum wage rate effective July 24, 2009 of $7.40 an hour (85% of the minimum wage rate will be $7.25 an hour effective July 24, 2009). The previously posted minimum wage rates effective September 1, 1997 and October 1, 2008 have been removed from the poster. The Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Growth has been renamed to the Michigan Department of Energy, Labor and Economic Growth.

07/16/08 — The Michigan Unemployment Insurance poster was updated to reflect that unemployed workers can now choose how to receive their unemployment benefits. Unemployed workers can choose to receive their unemployment benefits through either a debit card or direct deposit into the workers' checking or savings account.

03/20/08 — The Michigan Minimum Wage poster was updated to clarify that the 85% rate of $6.29 is valid between July 1, 2008 and July 23, 2008. Effective July 24, 2008, the minimum wage will increase to $6.55 to coincide with the federal minimum wage. The poster was also updated to clarify the definition of tipped employees.

06/19/08 — Effective July 1, 2008, Mississippi employers are required to use E-Verify, an Internet-based system operated by the federal government that allows participating employers to verify electronically the employment eligibility of their newly hired employees. Missouri
Minimum Wage
05/08/09 — The Missouri Minimum Wage poster was updated to reflect the removal of the learners and apprentices section from the poster. The section stated that any individuals under 20 years of age may be deemed a learner or apprentice and paid the applicable training wage (not less than 90 cents less than the minimum wage) for a period of three consecutive calendar months.

1/08/09 — The Missouri Minimum Wage poster was updated to reflect an increase in the state minimum wage. The state minimum wage was increased to $7.05 an hour effective January 1, 2009. Employers of tipped employees are required to pay tipped employees at least 50% of the minimum wage, or $3.525 an hour.

Nevada
Minimum Wage
06/19/09 — The Nevada Minimum Wage poster was updated to reflect a change to an exemption to the Nevada Wage and Hours provisions. The exemption applies to an employee in a retail or service business if their regular rate is more than 1 1/2 times the minimum wage, and more than half their compensation for a representative period comes from commissions on goods or services, to the extent allowed pursuant to federal law, not less than one month.

05/29/09 — The Nevada Minimum Wage poster was updated to reflect an increase in the state minimum wage. The state minimum wage was increased to $6.55 an hour if the employer provides health benefits or to $7.55 an hour if the employer does not provide health benefits. The new law gives covered employees up to six weeks of paid leave to care for a newborn, a newly adopted child or a sick relative. Benefits will be provided through the State Disability Fund or private insurance plan and employees will begin making contributions to the fund on January 1, 2009, and will be able to receive payments beginning July 1, 2009. All New Jersey employers covered by the New Jersey Unemployment Insurance law must post this poster in a place accessible to all employees.

No Smoking
08/27/08 — Pennsylvania recently passed the Clean Indoor Air Act, which prohibits smoking in essentially all enclosed workplaces except for a few specifically named exceptions. Beginning on September 11, 2008, smoking is not allowed in public places or workplaces. The law requires employers to post no smoking signs.

07/16/08 — The Pennsylvania Radiation Notice to Employees was updated to reflect that employees must report immediately to their supervisor or the Department of Environmental Protection if they observe a violation or possible safety concern. The poster was also updated to state that employees may be personally subject to enforcement action if through deliberate misconduct an employee causes or attempts to cause a violation or deliberately provides inaccurate or incomplete safety information to their employer or the Department of Environmental Protection.
